Daisy Hicks returns with a jazz inspired pop seasonal single ‘Christmas Without You’, which will soon be followed by ‘French Cafe’ in early 2017. The new material has elements of jazz and pop with Hicks’ crystal clear vocals soaring above the music.
Being the daughter of legendary jazz drummer Tony Hicks and related to the international recording artist Chris Rea, it’s no surprise Hicks followed a musical path. After being classically trained and taking a jazzy style, Hicks decided to deviated from her musical roots and by the age of 19 was signed by Concept Music, whereby she released her debut album ‘Mistress’.
Hicks has also collaborated with major names such as Aron Friedman, Jeff Franzel and Malcom Maddock. However she didn’t stop there and has now had her track ‘So Much More Than Love’ featured on US hit TV series Pretty Little Liars.
Daisy’s latest work takes a more laid back jazzy style and has been carefully crafted to give Hicks her own unique sound. The seasonal single is not only an infectious track but 10% of digital sales will be donated to BBC’s Children In Need.
