Jon McDevitt Brings Us The Present of ‘Father Christmas’

If you like your Christmas songs with a little more substance to them, rather than the usual tinsel-drenched tunes, then Jon McDevitt is here to save the big day with his festive offering, ‘Father Christmas’.

Having been a part of the 2000 record selling band, Geist, and also writing the theme tune to Channel 5’s A Different Life, Jon has a lot of songwriting experience that exhibits itself in ‘Father Christmas’.

Co-written alongside Dominic Hudson, ‘Father Christmas’ depicts a festive period without the gift-giving man and provokes listeners into thinking what it would be without him. As you can see, the track has a deeper subtext than most Christmas songs and the quality of the songwriting process is evident, knowing that it’s a song that makes you think, rather than one you simply absorb yourself in. All of this, along with a catchy melody, makes ‘Father Christmas’ the perfect new number for the festive period.
