World-pop heroes Modiwo release new track ‘Never Give Up’

Hailing from Romania, Modiwo are no ordinary pop group. In fact, this isn’t just pop- it’s world-pop, taking inspiration from across the globe, from all kinds of people.

The band have written their own success story in Romania whilst contributing their time to supporting a number of charity initiatives too. For example, , they are currently involved with a charity called Fruit Fusion, where audiences attending their gigs will pay with fruit rather than money, the proceeds then being donated to local orphanages, in conjunction with The Bureau of Children’s’ Rights Protection. An average show can deliver up to 700kg of fruit to those most deserving. Modiwo carry this healthy living ethos through to their own lifestyles and into their music, promoting yoga and meditation as well as using their music as a form of relaxation therapy.

Joining together musical forces from Romania, Ukraine, Moldova and Hungary, their unique anthemic dream-pop sound is embellished in their live shows with a wide range of unusual influences including alpine horns, didgeridoos, and shakuhachi solos. Their latest track, “Never Give Up”, is an achingly blissful pillow of sunshine which brings to mind all the dreamiest elements of The Beloved.

Best known as the lead vocalist of the multi-platinum group ‘The Stylistics’, Eban Brown will be touring the UK for a month from 6th March to 6th April. He has written and produced a single called “Eyes of a Child” in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital, which we will perform at each of his concerts along his tour.

“It is with great honour that I announce my 2015 UK Tour as a solo artist. I have written and produced a song entitled “Eyes of a Child” for Great Ormond Street Hospital. Families need the assistance and great care that GOSH can provide, and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to contribute to such a worthwhile cause. As a parent myself, the thought of your child being ill is unbearable but through the help of others, we can all be making a contribution to help in some small way! All proceeds from “Eyes of a Child” will benefit the children of Great Ormond Street Hospital, with 100% of profits going to the UK’s only academic biomedical research centre specialising in paediatrics.“- Eban Brown

Dutch indie pop-rocker Natasha Nicholls releases debut EP

3-track download raising money for handicapped children in Asia and Africa

Hailing from a ‘tiny village in the Netherlands’, Natasha Nicholls is an exciting, self-taught musician who quite literally writes songs in her sleep. Having already gained the attraction of the national media in the Netherlands, De Telegraaf (the Dutch version of the Daily Mail) and Story Magazine (one of the biggest magazines in the Netherlands) just to name a couple have featured the young musician.

Each of the three songs from her debut EP, titled simply ‘EP’, were developed from ideas which were roughly recorded after waking up with melodies and lyrics in her head. It’s indicative of a passionately DIY approach that is also reflected in her excellent animated video, which she edited to suit her song entirely herself.

In fact, Natasha Nicholls is a self-made musician in every sense, building her own website from scratch as well as creating the artwork for the EP and setting up and taking her own artist photos. It’s a fierce approach which has won her a great online following and attracted much media attention, as aforementioned – not bad going for an artist who’s also juggling her time with her student studies.

Even more impressive, Natasha Nicholls’ charity work has raised a lot of money over the years for needy children around the world, leading to her own recently established children’s foundation that aims to help handicapped children and orphans in Asia and Africa. For each copy of the EP sold, Natasha has pledged a percentage to the cause.
