Having dreamed of a successful career in the music business all her life, Chey appeared on a number of national television shows, including ‘Saturday Superstore’ as well as Owen Money’s ‘Just up your Street’. Chey also appeared on ‘Moon and Stars’ with Rupert Moon ex Welsh Rugby star (pictured).
It is only recently however that her career has begun to take flight after being spotted by top producer David Ezra, who has worked with X Factor finalists ‘Reggie and Bollie’ who have had over 4 million hits on YouTube, David says “when I came across Chey’s demo I loved her voice and just had to invite her to my studio in London, I brought in Shakil Hussain, a songwriter also from London to join us and within one day we had written and recorded Dirty Love.”
Dirty Love takes a unique view upon a love affair where the woman is in total control of what happens next. Speaking on the track Chey says “I wanted this song to emphasise the power of a woman, and how she uses her sexuality to get what she wants.” Having had previous support from Chris Needs MBE (BBC Wales), Chey hopes her new single will captivate audiences.
Dirty Love is set for official release on January 20th 2017, and available for pre-order December 23 on ITunes, Spotify and Tidal.

After dropping their first single ‘Frozen Lace’, Oakland, Californian synthpop new wave artists Introflirt are releasing their new single ‘Orange Light’. Both tracks will be on their second album ‘Temporary Heaven’, slated for release on August 2. Introflirt is an Oakland-based trio comprised of Vafa, Ben Benjamin, and Brendan Dreaper.
This album represents the next stage of evolution in their self-described “croonwave” music. Dissolving notions of what electronic music should be into a colorful flurry that pops and sparkles, this album is threaded together by a velvet voice and candid lyrics that touch on themes of disappointment in people, the fragility of relationships, and the path towards sexual liberation. True to Introflirt form, the songs on ‘Temporary Heaven’ maintain a delicate balance, offering the soundtrack to a life that is introverted while still reaching out.
“Never thought I’d say crooner, sexual, eclectic and synthtastic in the same phrase, but Introflirt combines all these things” – The Record Stache
The album’s first single ‘Frozen Lace’ was inspired by the struggle to overcome sexual repression, which generally goes hand in hand with some religions. It’s buzzing bass and squirming synth represent a tug-of-war between satisfying desires and fearing the potential consequences. Inspired by the concept that deciding between gratification or holding back entails excruciating self-torment, ‘Frozen Lace’ picks up on the lingering trepidation that moral laws often produce.
This was the first song to emerge for Introflirt after releasing their debut album. “This came from the longing to rid myself of guilt and fear of consequences when approaching certain desires,” explains vocalist and lyricist Ben Benjamin. “Growing up in a religious family – although my parents have pretty much been kicked out of every church they ever attended – installed many programs I’ve worked hard to disassemble.”
While Introflirt’s self-titled debut album documented the group testing the Flirty waters, the eight-track ‘Temporary Heaven’ jumps in without inhibition. The album retains the raw, gritty synth pop that endeared so many listeners to their debut release – but adds a seedier, darker, more danceable attitude, taking the Introflirt party from the rooftop to the basement.
While ‘Temporary Heaven’ presents Introflirt with a more energetic, modern feel, what stands out most is the transformation of Ben Benjamin’s vocals. After spending countless weekends in piano bars performing jazz standards, Benjamin’s vocal presence enters a similar space inhabited by the lounge singers of the 40s, 50s, and 60s, but set in the hazy, dim light of dance club beats.
Reinventing pop song structures to reflect the unpredictable nature of life’s twists and turns, the songs on this album present a clarity and confidence that’s a little bit dark, a little bit sentimental, and very very flirty.

HALFNOISE is ecstatic to be releasing the first single “Know The Feeling” from his forthcoming new full-length studio album, due out this Autumn on Congrats! The track premiered exclusively on Stereogum and is available for purchase now via all Digital Service Providers.
HALFNOISE is the creative project of Nashville-based musician Zac Farro; fusing his passion for live drums, electronic elements, and his unique voice to create a sound that bravely steps into the future without abandoning his already incredibly successful past. Farro spent most of his early music career as a founding member of Paramore, touring with the band from 2004 to 2010 and lending his talents as a drummer to the band’s first three records – All We Know Is Falling, and the platinum-selling Riot!, and Brand New Eyes.
After releasing his self-titled HALFNOISE in 2012, and moving to New Zealand in 2014 to record his sophomore album VOLCANO CROWE, Farro found himself back out on the road supporting Broods on a national tour. His time spent in New Zealand also helped cement a relationship with Joel Little (Lorde, Sam Smith, Ellie Goulding), who Farro tapped to produce his 2015 single “INSIDE,” an experience that would help him grow as a vocalist and writer. It was this newfound confidence that helped shape the newest HALFNOISE record, which after moving back to Nashville, Farro self-produced at Save Point Studios in Los Angeles, surrounded by friends and close collaborators.
The new HALFNOISE single “Know The Feeling” can be streamed NOW. The track is off of the band’s upcoming full-length album, with further details coming soon.
